Edible Flower Iced Tea
Ingredients:
– 1/4 cup dried Dianthus
– 1/4 cup dried Viola
– 1/4 cup dried Calendula
– 8 cups water
– Honey (optional)
– Lemon slices (optional)
– Peppermint leaves (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil
2. Remove the pot from heat and add the dried Dianthus, Viola, and Calendula flowers to the water
3. Stir the flowers gently to ensure they are fully submerged in the water
4. Cover the pot with a lid and let the flowers steep for about 10-15 minutes
5. Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher
6. If desired, add honey or sugar to sweeten the tea to taste
7. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
8. Serve over ice with lemon slices (optional)
9. Garnish with peppermint leaves (optional) and enjoy!
Note: Make sure the flowers you use are edible and have not been treated with any pesticides or chemicals. You can also adjust the ratio of flowers to water to suit your taste preferences.
