Grilled romaine lettuce 08/07/2021 Previous A substitute for grilled burgers. Not quite the real deal but still just as juicy and fresh. Enjoy as a side dish at barbeques and gatherings.Ingredients:3-4 romaine lettuce hearts3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil1 tablespoon red wine vinegar2 teaspoon chopped fresh herbs eg. thyme, rosemary¼ teaspoon saltFreshly ground black pepperInstructions:Pull old leaves off the romaine hearts. Cut the brown root parts so the root is left intact.Prepare the grill for high heat.Add oil, vinegar, herbs, salt and pepper into a bowl. Stir to combine and paint over lettuce heads.Grill hearts for 1-2 minutes on each side until done.Serve immediately.
